Fus. George H. Short

Fus. George H. Short, formerly of No.12 Commando, served in No.5 (Heavy Weapons) Troop of No.6 Commando.

He was described by Col. A. D. Lewis as “very tough little man” and to whom he had given a hand as they scrambled off the nets of their LCI (S) on D-Day when the two front ramps had been blown off by a German shell.
